The Level 2 other electricians About us
We are an ASP Level 2 accredited electrical contractor based in Riverwood, working across Sydney on all three networks since 2016. Poles, service mains, meters, consumer mains and defect notices — the part of the job a general electrician is not permitted to touch.
- ASP Level 2: Ausgrid, Endeavour, Essential
- NSW Contractor Licence 381215C
- Established 2016
- Fully insured
- Phone answered straight away, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Saturday by appointment.

One contractor, one margin.
Brilliant Electric started in 2016 with a single van and one idea: that the person quoting the job should also be the person doing it. Nine years on that has not changed. When you call, you speak to a Level 2 who has been up the pole, not to a call centre reading from a script.
Most people find us because someone else told them to. A builder, a real estate agent, an energy retailer, or a general electrician who has hit the limit of what their licence allows. That electrician can bring a Level 2 in and mark it up on top of their own work — or you can come to us direct and pay one contractor once.
We are accredited and authorised on Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy, which means we do not have to hand your job to someone else when it crosses a network boundary.

100A+
Where most of our work sits, and our specialty
Nine years, in order.
Nothing dramatic. A licence, then an accreditation, then the jobs that other people would not take on.
Brilliant Electric opens in Riverwood
NSW Electrical Contractor Licence 381215C, one van, and mostly residential switchboard and service work through the St George area.
Authorised across all three networks
Accreditation under the ASP scheme is one thing; authorisation by each distributor is separate. Holding both on Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy meant we could follow work anywhere in the state.
Commercial and institutional sites
TAFE NSW Miller Campus, Mona Vale Hospital, Wet’n’Wild Blacktown, PARKROYAL Parramatta, Barangaroo and The Hustle Community Centre. Bigger supply, tighter access, more paperwork.
Above 100 amps becomes the specialty
Past 100 amps the distributor reviews every application individually and the job stops being routine. Workshops, high load homes and commercial fit-outs are now the bulk of what we quote.
Still answering our own phone
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday by appointment. No 24/7 line, because we would rather be honest about that than promise it and miss.
Four things we will not talk you out of.
These are the rules the business runs on. They are also the reasons people call us back.
Direct
You deal with the Level 2
The phone is answered by the people doing the work. If your job does not actually need a Level 2, we will tell you that too, even though it means we do not get it.
Written
A scope and a price before we start
In writing, every time. If the scope changes once we are on site — rock under the pole hole, an asbestos panel nobody mentioned — you hear about it before we proceed, not on the invoice.
Documented
Paperwork you can actually use
Network notifications, testing, and your CCEW and NOSW certificates. They prove the work was done lawfully and to standard, and you will want them the day you sell.
Backed
Lifetime on our workmanship
Twelve months on materials, lifetime on our workmanship, with one condition we would rather state plainly than bury: it applies provided no other contractor has worked on the installation since we did.
What our customers say.
Brilliant work. Had meter board upgrade and mains upgrade. Very satisfied with the work that Rex did. He was very professional, work safe and very neat work.
Both Aldrae and Rex where amazing. Focused on solving problem on what exactly was needed. Really happy with it. I found Aldrae recommended from community. However, after getting quotes from 2 other level 2 electricians, I found him to be …
Great service from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. Prices were very reasonable, and the whole experience was hassle-free. I would definitely use their services again and would happily recommend them to others!
The guys at Brilliant Electric did a switchboard upgrade at my place, was referred to them by a friend. …
We just purchased our new home, and as the pre-purchase report stated, it needed some electrical work. In our case, it required extensive rewiring and updated switchboards. …
The guys at Brilliant Electric recently installed a Phase 3 connection to my home. They were professional and hard working and also very friendly. They worked tirelessly to complete the job in spite of the wet weather. Thank you Rex and Co 👏👏
Our private pole collapsed and was disconnected by Ausgrid. Brilliant arrived within an hour of me calling them. Within several hours they got my power back on. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Level 2 Electrician. Thanks again!
Couldn't be happier with the results from brilliant. Upgraded all lights to led downlights and added two pendant lights in the kitchen. Highly recommend these blokes for all your electrical needs!
Brilliant was referred to us by our normal electrician. They cleared my defect issued by ausgrid on my old switchboard. Great service by the team. Thank you again!

We’ve worked with Brilliant Electric on our Level 2 electrical work for a number of years now, and they’ve been nothing short of exceptional. …
Accredited on all three NSW networks.
Two things are required under the ASP Scheme Rules, and they are separate: accreditation with the scheme, and authorisation by each individual distributor. We hold both.

Emergencies outside our hours
We do not run a 24/7 service and we would rather say so. If your supply is down after hours, contact your distributor directly. Ausgrid’s emergency line is 13 13 88.
Send us the defect notice, a photo of the pole, or the supply figure your designer has assumed.
Call and we will tell you what is involved before anyone comes out. Phone answered straight away during business hours.
